FLYL 2017 GIRLS PROGRAM : Kindergarten
Designed for Kindergarten grade girls with the goal of teaching the fundamentals of Lacrosse while striving to maximize player enthusiasm and a love for the sport. The program will be “low-key”, emphasizing "fun and fundamentals". All players will be treated equally with respect to instruction. We understand the children are still trying different sports and are tolerant of conflicts.
Kindergarten players will not be participating in games or mini-jam events as they are not ready at this age to be in games with other towns. This season we will focus on the basics learning and having FUN!!
BASIC PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Our Kindergarten grade program is designed around introducing the game of lacrosse. Each and every practice and drill is to allow the girls to get a taste of the game and have fun every minute they have a stick in their hands. The commitment is minimal but the experience is priceless. All the girls will be divided into smaller groups "in-house" teams. After skills and drills, and when they are ready, the in-house teams will "scrimmage" against one another later in the season.
